The anaerobic digestion of energy crops is based in principle on the same concept as the digestion of animal manures, but is dealt with separately in Chapter [5.1](/5%20Crop%20production%20and%20agricultural%20soils/5.1%20digestion%20of%20energy%20crops%20and%20management%20of%20the%20digestate). The detailed description of the methods for calculating emissions in connection with agricultural soils can be found in Chapter [5](/5%20Crop%20production%20and%20agricultural%20soils).
